University students and transportation in Tinghir

By: Oussama Rachid

Tinghir-University students block the main road for two days as a protest against the city municipality, which refuses to give them transportation money. After students finish their high school and get their baccalaureate, they submit applications to go to university. However, the problem that students suffer from is transportation .In the beginning of every school year, students ask transportation money from the Municipality of the city so that they can travel to continue their studies in different cities .But the municipality always refuses to give it to them or to provide them with the transportation, which makes  students block the main road of the city. That is, students keep striking until someone responds to them. After two days of striking, the municipality agrees to provide transportation for 150 students. Tinghir students who study in different in cities always suffer from this problem of transportation because they live far from their universities and  find it expensive to travel each time. Most of them come from poor families and need support with transportation.
